Jamar Johnson (J Nino) is a visual designer and art director based in the Maryland/Washington, DC area. From an early age, he was introduced to various styles of art including music, film, and fashion. These childhood inspirations became the fuel that ignited his passion to pursue a career in the art and visual design world.
Although self-taught, he eventually pursued a BFA in college while learning photography as a designer. He enjoys consulting clients and developing creative solutions through digital design, photography, cinema, and fashion.
Today, he continues to explore new techniques in his art to not only challenge his mind but provoke the minds of others. He is currently working on his independent brand Progression Over Popularity and gearing up for the release of his Fall/Winter 2024 collection.
